Local SEO citations: why matching details matter
When Google decides whether to show a local business, it looks for agreement. The name, address and phone number on your Google Business Profile should match what Yelp, Apple Maps, Bing and the other local sites say about you. In local SEO these mentions are called citations, and matching ones tell Google the business is real and sits where it says it does.
Mismatches do quiet damage. "Suite 4, 12 Main St" on one site and "12 Main Street #4" on another can read as two different businesses, and so can an old phone number left on a site you signed up to years ago. We take your details once and use them word for word on every listing.
Listings are one signal among several. Your Business Profile, your reviews and how close the searcher is all weigh more, and nobody can promise a Map Pack position; our local SEO checklist sets out what Google weighs. What consistent listings do is remove a reason for Google to doubt you, and put you in front of customers where they already look.
How our citation building service picks your sites
The right sites depend on where your business is and what it does. A plumber in Ohio and a dental practice in Leeds should not get the same list. We start with the sites customers use in your country, such as Yelp, Bing Places, Apple Maps and Foursquare where your country and category allow, then add the main national and industry sites for your line of work.
We leave out sites that exist only to sell listings, and sites that have gone quiet. Our re-checked list of business listing sites shows how many well-known names have rebranded, moved or gone offline while still appearing on citation lists, and a listing on a dead site helps nobody.

When your local business listings go live
Allow 21 to 30 working days for the full report. We submit your listings in the first days after you send your details. Some sites publish a new listing within days. Others review each new business by hand, and some confirm it by calling the business, emailing it or posting it a code, so listings go live over two to six weeks. That wait is set by each site, not by us.
When a site calls, emails or posts you a code, please answer it: a listing waiting on a confirmation stays unpublished until it gets one, and we tell you when a site is waiting on you. We re-check every listing regularly, and your report updates as they go live.
What you receive, and what this package does not do
A report listing every site and the public URL of your listing on it, with whether we could confirm it live. The listings are registered under your own email address, so you own every one and can edit it when your hours or phone number change. Logins never go in the report.
Listings are not backlinks, and we do not sell them as backlinks. Many of these sites add no link to your website, or a nofollow one. A listing earns its place by being found and by agreeing with your other listings, not by passing authority.
Our 12-month link replacement covers backlink packages, not listings. Once a listing is published it sits under your email, on a site we do not control, so we cannot promise the site keeps it.

Which countries do you cover?

Businesses in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and a number of other countries. It is not available everywhere, because the listing sites depend on where the business is. If yours is somewhere else, email us before ordering and we'll tell you whether we can cover it.
How long until my listings are live?

Allow 21 to 30 working days for the full report. Some sites publish within days. Others review each new business by hand, and some confirm it by phone, email or a code posted to the business address, so listings go live over two to six weeks. We tell you when a site is waiting on you.
Who owns the listings and the logins?

You do. Every listing is registered under an email address you give us when you order, so the account and its login are yours from the start. We never ask for your passwords, and logins never go in the report.
What if a site declines or removes my listing?

Sites set their own rules: some do not list every category, and many will not accept a PO box or a virtual office. We choose sites that fit your country and category, so a refusal is the exception, and your report shows the status of every listing. Once a listing is published it sits on a site we do not control, so we cannot promise the site keeps it, and listings are not covered by our 12-month link replacement.
Are business listings the same as backlinks?

No. A listing is your business profile on a site like Yelp or Apple Maps: your name, address, phone, hours and website. Many of these sites add no link to your website, or a nofollow one, so we never count them as backlinks. Their value is being found where customers look, and giving Google matching details to trust.
