The title is the single strongest on-page signal and the first thing a searcher reads. We rewrite each one to lead with the page's keyword, stay inside the length Google displays, and give a reason to click — a price, a number, a differentiator.
One H1 per page carrying the primary keyword, H2s covering the related terms, and H3s only where genuine sub-topics exist. This is how a search engine reads the shape of your page, and most sites we audit either have no H1 or several.
Your strongest pages should pass authority to the ones you want ranked, using anchor text that describes the destination. We map which pages have links and which are orphaned, then connect them — the cheapest ranking work there is, because the authority already exists on your own site.
One page, one primary keyword. Where two of your pages compete for the same term, we assign each a distinct one so Google stops splitting the signal — a fix that costs nothing and frequently moves both pages.
An SEO plugin can flag a missing title or a thin meta description, but it can't judge search intent, write copy that reads well, or decide which internal links actually move authority to your money pages. That judgement is the whole job.

No rank promises — on-page makes a page rankable, it doesn't force a position. But it's the highest-leverage, fastest SEO fix most sites are missing.
These two get confused constantly, and buying the wrong one wastes a month. On-page SEO is about what a page SAYS and how it is structured: the title, the H1, the headings, the keyword each page is built around, the internal links pointing at it. A technical audit is about whether Google can reach the page at all: crawling, indexing, canonicals, speed, schema, redirect chains.
A simple test. If your pages are indexed and appearing in Google but sitting on page three, that is an on-page and authority problem — start here. If pages are missing from Google entirely, or Search Console reports them as excluded, that is technical, and no amount of rewriting titles will fix it.
Most small-business sites we see need on-page first. The pages are indexed, they simply do not tell Google clearly enough what they are for — two pages targeting the same term, titles that read like brochure copy, no H1, no internal links. That is fixable in days, and it is cheaper than either backlinks or a technical rebuild.
What usually moves within four to eight weeks: pages that were ranking 15-30 for a term they were never properly optimised for, click-through rate on pages already ranking (a rewritten title often lifts CTR without the position changing at all), and pages that were competing with each other stopping doing so.
What on-page alone will not do: put you on page one for a competitive commercial term where every result has hundreds of referring domains. On-page makes you eligible. Links decide the order. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you the cheap half of the job.
We say this before you buy rather than after, because the honest sequence matters more than the invoice. If your site is already well optimised on-page and still not moving, tell us — we will point you at link building instead of selling you this.
One caveat worth stating: if you are a local business competing for customers near you, on-page work alone rarely moves the map pack — that is decided by your Google profile and your citations as much as your site. The small business SEO package covers all three, and is the better buy if local is where your customers actually are.
