What an editorial guest post actually means

Most things sold as 'guest posts' online are not guest posts. They are paid placements on link-farm blogs that publish anything for a fee, with no editorial review, no original audience, and no organic traffic. Google's John Mueller has called these out repeatedly since 2020.
