In plain words
This manufacturer has written a great deal, yet almost no other website links to it, so its pages have nothing behind them. The audit also finds posts that can never rank.

Words this audit uses
- Sitemap:
- The list of pages a site hands to search engines.
- Indexed, noindex:
- Indexed means a search engine has stored a page and can show it. A noindex tag asks it not to.
- H1, main heading:
- The main heading of a page: the line that tells a search engine what the page is about.
- Canonical tag:
- A line in a page’s code that names the one official address of that page.
- Structured data, schema, JSON-LD:
- Labels in a page’s code that tell machines what something is: an article, a product, a business.
- Redirect:
- An instruction that sends visitors and search engines from one address to the right one.
- Meta description:
- The short summary shown under a page’s title in search results.
- Alt text:
- A written description of an image, read by search engines and screen readers.
- Search Console:
- Google’s free tool that shows how a site appears in its search results.
- Domain Rating:
- Ahrefs’ score for how much other websites link to a site.
The audit’s short version
Not a content problem. A no-authority problem. The business has published 139 pages and blog posts and the writing is substantial, but its domain is rated 0, so every one of those pages competes with no authority behind it.
How it was measured
Every one of the 149 URLs in the sitemap fetched, and the domain rating read from the Ahrefs public API on the same day.
What is already working
- 86 blog posts and 53 pages, and they are not thin: blog posts run to a median of 1,561 words, product pages to 793.
- Separate pages for each product line a bulk buyer searches for. Most manufacturers’ sites are one page called “Products”.
- All 149 URLs return HTTP 200: no broken pages, no redirect chains, no 404s in the sitemap.
- 143 of 149 pages carry a canonical tag, and LocalBusiness schema is present with name, address and telephone.
What the audit found
1The domain is rated zero
The finding that explains why the rest of the work has not paid off. Domain Rating is Ahrefs’ 0–100 measure of the link authority a domain carries, and this one reads 0.0, the floor. A site with no authority can publish 139 good pages and still sit behind the big trade directories on every term worth having.
2Fifteen of the 86 blog posts can never rank
Nine of them are byte-for-byte copies of a product page: not similar, identical (1,526, 1,979 and 1,354 words; 100% match). Six more are empty: one word of content, no title tag, no heading. All fifteen are submitted in the blog sitemap.
3What the audit did not claim about those duplicates
There is no duplicate-content penalty to clean up. The canonical tag on all nine copies correctly points back to the original product page. The real cost is simpler: fifteen posts that can never bring a visitor, and the searches they were written for sitting unclaimed.
450 of 149 pages have the wrong number of H1 headings
A page should have exactly one H1. 50 of 149 do not. The home page has two, the second a FAQ heading that dilutes the first. Twelve product pages have three H1s that are near-copies of the same phrase, and on one post every section heading was set as an H1: 11 of them.

Every page loads two different measurement IDs plus a tag manager container. Traffic is recorded twice into two properties, and the same 160 KB analytics library is downloaded twice on every page load: 324 KB of the 545 KB of JavaScript on the home page.
7Titles
The home page title repeats its city twice across 69 characters. Twelve money pages have titles over 60 characters, one of them misspelling the business’s own name, and 6 blog posts have no title tag at all.
8One thing that cannot be fixed
The pages are heavy, and that is the site builder. The home page ships 1.19 MB of HTML before a single image loads, the median across the site is 1.17 MB and the heaviest page is 1.77 MB. No SEO work removes it. What can be removed is the duplicated analytics library, and 75 images are missing alt text.
The order of work
- Decide, post by post, which of the fifteen dead blog posts to rewrite and which to remove.
- Remove the duplicated analytics property so the traffic reports agree with each other.
- One H1 per page, carrying one keyword, starting with the home page.
- Rewrite every title over 60 characters and every meta description over 160.
- Add Product and Organization schema: LocalBusiness describes a shop, and this is a manufacturer.
- Then build the authority that is missing.
What this audit did not check
- Which pages are indexed: that needs Search Console access, and it changes the order of the work.
What was removed, and what was not. The business, its website and page addresses, people, competitors, places and the search terms that would name it are removed or replaced with a word in [brackets]. The prices and the proposal that closed the audit are left out. Every figure is the audit’s own.
